It’s not about working harder or smarter.
It's about working together.

It’s about pay inequities.

As of 2020, Latina women are still paid unfairly. On average, Latinas in the U.S. are paid 45% (.55 cents) less than their white male counterparts and 30% less than their white female counterparts. If Latinas were paid the same amount as their white male counterparts, all other variables being equal, the Latina poverty rate would drop by more than half in 28 states, according to an analysis by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research.

It’s about all the other significant barriers that have not improved over time.

Latinas struggle disproportionally with the lack of affordable childcare and Pre-K programs, lack of accessible and affordable healthcare, lack of basic financial management tools, the burden of supporting their children, family, and elderly family members, and now the tragic consequences of COVID-19.
