MENTORING PROGRAM JUNTAS

What could your career achieve if you had personalized advice from someone who's been there before? Learn more about Juntas, our mentoring program (Together).

A great mentor helps you to achieve what seems impossible.

We're on a mission to help Latina women and girls advance in our community. To support that mission, we created Juntas (Together), a program that connects Latina women to tools, resources, and, most importantly, one another.

Juntas is a one-on-one mentoring program that aims to build and strengthen bonds between Latina women through shared and learned experiences.

The program connects young and adult Latina women with other Latina women in the community who offer advice and support to help them achieve their goals.

The program incorporates group workshops and skill development sessions to cultivate relationships and inspire confidence.

About our Mentoring Program JUNTAS

JUNTAS is a 6-month mentoring program that begins with training for mentors and mentees matched for the upcoming cohort. You will then be invited to attend the Welcome meeting with us. This will be a group meeting with all mentors and mentees present, and you will be introduced to your mentoring match during this meeting.

Mentor pairs are encouraged to meet for approximately 4 hours per month following the Welcome. You will collaborate to determine when and how you will meet. Some groups will meet once a week for an hour. Others may prefer to spend a few hours together on alternate weekends. We want you to connect in whatever way is most comfortable for you.

Several times during the 6-month program, we will host a skills development workshop for mentoring pairs to attend. These workshops allow participants to connect with other program participants while also continuing to develop skills that support their goals.

The next cohort of JUNTAS will be announced soon.

Latinas who are interested in participating in a JUNTAS cohort as a mentor or mentees are encouraged to apply online. When your application is received, you will be contacted to arrange a brief interview with Latina Professionals of Chattanooga. This is a casual conversation in which we will learn more about you. Participants are matched carefully based on their personal and professional interests, goals, and experiences. The more we know about you, the better our chances of finding your perfect match.

When you have been matched, we will notify you and invite you to a JUNTAS training and the Welcome meeting, where you will be introduced to your match for the first time. The rest is entirely up to you. You and your mentoring amiga will decide when and how you will meet. The program will conclude with a final group meeting where you can share your experiences and celebrate your accomplishments.
